UN MARE PER TUTTI - SAILING RACE

Saturday 8 September 2018 in Jesolo it is possible to enjoy the sea without limitations or barriers, rediscovering at the same time the maritime culture of traditions.
At the Porto turistico, the project Un Mare per Tutti offers the possibility to take part in a small regatta, open to all disabled people, with the use of Class 2.4mR single-seat boats. At the same time it is possible to go out to sea with 3 different types of boats: “Meteor”, 6-metre cruiser that can host 6 people that do not need wheelchairs; Sonar, 7-metre race boat that can carry wheelchairs and lastly “Arpage” sea-going cruiser that can carry up to six disabled people.    
    

The initiative is part of a wider project Turismo sociale ed inclusivo nel litorale veneto 2018 (Social and inclusive tourism on the Veneto coast 2018), promoted by the regional Tourism and Social Servicesdepartments of which the City of Jesolo and UlSS4 Veneto Orientale are part.     The proposal is aimed at supporting tourism and sports for persons with different disabilities on the coast of Veneto Region, and is added to opportunities such as the beach of Nemo, the first completely accessible and inclusive in Italy.
